Open 7 Days a Week: Mon – Fri, 12-8p; Sat & Sun, 12-6p
OPA’s orthopedic walk-in clinic is available to help patients avoid the long wait, redundant care, follow up delays and high cost of hospital emergency room services.
Anyone suffering from a sports injury or other non-life-threatening orthopedic injury or condition may simply walk in without an appointment to our Anchorage orthopedic walk-in clinic.
It is not necessary to call ahead and no doctor’s referral is needed.
Why go directly to an orthopedic walk-in clinic instead of an urgent care center? Local urgent care centers frequently refer patients with sports injuries and other orthopedic conditions to our orthopedic walk-in clinic due to the specialized nature of treating orthopedic conditions. Most services can be provided in the office, including X-ray, diagnosis, casting, splinting and bracing.
Common conditions treated during walk-in hours include:
• Sports injuries
• Work related injuries
• Shoulder rotator cuff tears, instability
• Arm and elbow fractures, injuries and disorders
• Hand and wrist fractures, injuries and disorders
• Leg and hip fractures, injuries and disorders
• Knee fractures, injuries (ACL & meniscal tears, patellar dislocations) and disorders
• Foot and ankle fractures, injuries and disorders
If it is determined that urgent surgery is needed, an OPA surgeon will call ahead to immediately admit you to a hospital and will arrange to meet you there within minutes to perform the surgery.
Whether your condition has been developing over time or the result of a recent sports injury or other orthopedic injury, OPA’s certified medical specialists can help.
OPA'S WALK-IN CLINIC IS NOT A CERTIFIED EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE AS DESCRIBED IN ALASKA STATUTE 18.08.082,084,200.
