Scoliosis |

Scoliosis is an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine typically caused by vertebral anomalies present at birth (congenital). Often, the specific cause is unknown (idiopathic). Scoliosis may also result from secondary causes such as muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy or trauma to the body. The spine may appear on an X-Ray to have an S or C shape instead of straight alignment.
